Mark Huffman became the choreographer for the Young Ambassadors and director of one of its groups following Dee Winterton's passing in 1984. While a student, he both performed and served as assistant director for the group for three years. He also performed with The Dancers' Company of BYU, and while touring with them, taught as a movement specialist for the National Endowment for the Arts.

Besides his work for the Young Ambassadors, Mark also taught and choreographed for the Department of Dance and the Department of Theatre and Cinematic Arts as a member of the BYU dance faculty.
