Homecoming 2009 and 40th Anniversary

Dear Young Ambassador Friends,

We have two exciting events coming up for ALL Young Ambassador Alumni:

1. SAVE THE DATE! BYU Young Ambassadors 40th Anniversary Reunion Date: February 11-14th, 2010 All Young Ambassadors Alumni plan on attending!

We have some awesome events in store for you, a few of which include:

- Mingle and enjoy delicious catered meals with your YA Alumni friends.

- Listen to "Many Mighty Miracles", a through-the-years journey presented by Randy Boothe.

- Be dazzled at the Alumni Showcase Evening and a presentation of alumni awards.

- Sing in a Sunday evening fireside at the Conference Center that will touch our hearts as we remember how many times we sang "I Am a Child of God" while sharing our testimonies with the world. I remember the Taj Mahal as my special venue. What a memory!

- Some of you may even want to sing and dance with the current YA's in their De Jong Concert Hall Show. What a fun opportunity! Start stretching those legs and dusting your vocal chords now!

2. 2009 BYU Homecoming Weekend: October 23-24, 2009. Homecoming Events for YA Alumni include:

- BYU Homecoming Spectacular Green Room, October 23, 2009, 6:45 p.m., Cougar Room in the Marriot Center. Here's a special chance to attend this year's YA "Before Show" Green Room and catch the spirit of Randy and the gang.

- BYU Homecoming Spectacular, October 23, 2009, 7:30 p.m., Marriot Center. You can get tickets by calling (801)422-BYU1 or you can buy them at the window.

- "Linger Longer" Ice Cream Social, October 23, 2009, 9:00 p.m., Cougar Room in the Marriot Center. We have the Cougar Room set aside exclusively for Young Ambassadors and their families and friends, for the 5th Annual YA Ice Cream Social. Regardless of whether you attend the Spectacular, please join us for an ice cream sundae while catching up and watching old YA footage.

*Note: You can purchase YA Show DVDs from your year! We have compiled video footage of most years shows and we are making DVD copies that will be for sale for $15 plus $2 shipping/handling at the Ice Cream Social. Check out the shows we have. If you have other footage, please contact us so we can dub it and make it available to others. To order, please call Wendee at 615-604-2940.

- Current YA Rehearsal, October 24, 2009, 2:30-4:30 p.m., Richards Building Room #2206. Bring your family and let's watch the current group perform their show and remember the memories of the rehearsals and the critiques afterwards.

- After Game Gathering, October 24, 2009, 9:00-10:30 p.m., Joe Vera's Restaurant, 250 West Center Street in Provo. All are welcome to enjoy a casual atmosphere and Mexican food while we laugh and catch up on old memories. The cost is from $2-$10 a person depending on what you order. We will have a section reserved upstairs for the YA alumni and their guests. To reserve your spot, RSVP by October 1st to Wendee. Hope to see you there.
