Events for the 2008 BYU Homecoming Activities (Oct.10-12, 2008) planned for the Young Ambassador alumni.

Last year, the visiting, out of town, YA's suggested they wanted lots of things offered in their brief visit to maximize their time together with old friends. We're trying to accommodate their requests. Come to some or come to all of the events below...

1. BYU Homecoming Spectacular Green Room - 6:45 p.m.- Here's a special chance to attend this year's YA "Before Show" Green room and catch the spirit of Randy and the gang. Please meet at the Cougar Room in the Marriott Center. Questions, call Wendee at 615-604-2940.

2. BYU Homecoming Spectacular. Friday, Oct.10, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. You can still get tickets (not in our section however) by calling (801)422-BYU1 or you can buy them at the window.

3. "Linger Longer" Ice Cream Social. Friday,Oct. 10, 2008 after the Spectacular (9:15 p.m.- 11:30 p.m.) We have the Cougar Room set aside at the Marriott Center on the main floor by the ticket window, exclusively for Young Ambassadors and their families and friends, for the 4th Annual YA Ice Cream Social. Regardless of whether you attend the Spectacular, please join us around 9:15 p.m. for an ice cream sundae while catching up and watching old YA footage.

4. NEW ITEM--Saturday, Oct.11, 08- YA Picnic at the Park Party-Noon-2:30 p.m. Bring your family's lunch and soda, and let's talk, sing, and enjoy the mountains together at Kiwanis park on 8th North & 9th East in Provo. Watch for YA signs. Bring the whole family. (In case of rain, we'll meet at the Wilk Center) TBA.

5. NEW ITEM-- YA "After Game Gathering" Saturday, Oct.11,'08, 8:00-10:00 p.m. Joe Vera's Restaurant- 250 W. Center Street in Provo. 1980-85' Groups highlighted- But all are welcome. >Enjoy a casual atmosphere & mexican foods while we laugh and catch up on old memories. The cost is from $2-$10 a person depending on what you order. We will have a section reserved upstairs for the YA alumni and their guests. To reserve your spot, RSVP by October 1 to Wendee. Hope to see you there.

6. YA Church- Sunday, Oct.12, '08- Those out-of-towners with no church to attend are welcome to join Wendee at her son's ward in Provo @ 10 a.m. For more details, call Wendee=2 0at 615-604-2940.

7. YA Show DVDs from Your Year. We have also compiled video footage of most year's shows and we are making DVD copies that will be for sale $20 plus $2 S/H at the Ice Cream Social.
