Other

I have been raising 6 wonderful children with my dear husband, and following him (through his career) from various places in Texas to Southern California, to Florida and back to Texas. We have come to know and love many dear friends through our 6 big moves.

My husband's job has offered him exciting opportunities of traveling a great deal. Our family has visited Guatemala twice for an extensive amount of time. These trips were life-changing experiences for some of our family members. My husband and I have also been blessed with opportunity to vacation to NYC (Hooray for Broadway!), on several occasions, along with a few other interesting places. Our oldest son served a full-time mission in Uruguay, and our second son is currently serving in South Africa.

Performing:
The week before Christmas 2009, I played the role of Martha in Woodlands Repertory Theatre's production of "White Christmas".
At the end of 2008 I performed as the Reverend Mother in Woodlands Repertory Theatre's production of "The Sound of Music".
In the first couple of years of marriage I played the female lead in"Count Dracula", and Marian Paroo in "The Music Man". I also have accompanied my husband on numerous occasions when he is asked to speak at youth, young adult or adult firesides, where I will usually sing a song or two. (At times a duet with my husband when he is feeling daring.)

The experience gained while practicing & performing with young ambassadors has been a blessing to me. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this amazing group that does so much good throughout the world. Our family feels extremely blessed in so many ways, and we thank our Heavenly father for every good thing.
