Pete Codella, APR is currently president of Codella Marketing, a strategic marketing communications firm. On behalf
of clients he plays an instrumental role in developing strategic marketing plans, managing media relations, crisis communications and public affairs.
Named by In Business Las Vegas as one of 2004’s Top 40 Under 40 in professional services, Pete currently serves as immediate past-president of the Public Relations Society of America – Las Vegas Valley Chapter. He is Accredited in public relations by PRSA.
His professional experience includes serving as general manager and executive vice president for a Las Vegas public relations firm and public relations director for a local advertising agency. Before moving to Las Vegas in 2000, he worked for BYU's Performing Arts Management for three years. There he was responsible for managing, promoting, marketing and booking 16 BYU performing ensembles, including Young Ambassadors. He also served as a tour manager and coordinator on numerous national and international tours. Pete has also worked for Merrill Lynch in New York City and Health Benefits America in Salt Lake City.
Pete has performed in regional theater in New York, New Jersey, Wyoming and Utah, been featured in LDS homefront commercials, provided backup vocals for numerous Deseret Book albums, and appeared at The Venetian in Las Vegas as a singing gondolier. He's currently preparing for his role as Alma the Younger in his stake's March 23-25, 2006 production of Into the Light - Alma the Younger's Mighty Change.
While attending BYU, Pete performed with the Young Ambassadors for three years (1992, ’93 and ’94) and served as the ensemble’s president for two years. He graduated from BYU in 1995 in communication studies with a minor in business management.
He is a fortunate husband and proud father and enjoys spending time with his family and their energetic weimaraner.
